FINAL PE POST.

How is my attendance/ readiness to participate/ and punctuality?

My attendance throughout the whole entire year has been excellent, besides the days I was sick and gone to doctor appointments. My readiness to participate in class would be 7 on a scale between 1 and 10 with one being not ready at all and 10 being 100% into it. The reason why I say that is because when it comes to non- fitness days I am all into it and ready to participate, well most times anyways, but the reason why i said 7 is because when it is fitness days I mostly not willing to participate mentally and always second guessing myself weather I should or should not try. Moreover, my punctuality. I would say I am very punctual when it comes to knowing where I have to go, arriving on time, and always wearing gym strip. So I would say my punctuality is very good in those aspects.

Has my fitness improved, and if yes, show evidence and why I improved.

Yes, my fitness has improved over the course in the past few months. Actually the area where my fitness did improve in was my cardio, and that was actually my goal I set for myself a couple months back. So yes my fitness did improve in cardio and the reason why I know that is because my score in the beep test went up. I think around the beginning of the year I ran a 5.5, which was kind of bad, but actually last Friday when my class did the beep test again, I actually ran a 7.4. So to me at least, that seems like a big improvement in my cardio fitness. Moreover the reason why I did improve is because I have changed my diet from junk food to fruits and veggies. Also, I have began running on the treadmill that I have at my house and ride my bike. So with those 2 variables in my life, I was able to use these variables and improve my fitness.

How do I contribute to my class dynamics? What do I bring? Give examples.

I contribute to my class's dynamics by trying to bring a positive attitude, setting a good example for others, and and help when help is needed. This is what I contribute and bring to my class. Some great examples are when one of my classmates wanted to skip, but instead I talked them out of it and told them at least to be there and walk if not run. Another example would be putting the doge balls away after playing doge ball. Also try to smile as much as I can to build a positive atmosphere for others.

What does it mean to me to be physically educated? How am I ready for independence?

The words physically educated mean to me is a state where you know what is right and wrong or your health. Physically educated means where you have a knowledge to know what exercise do I need and don't need to reach my fitness goal. Physically educated means to know how to live a healthy life style without anyone there to tell you what to do. I would say I am ready for independence in healthy living because I know what it good and not good for me, I know what exercises I need to achieve my fitness goal. I know how to live a healthy lifestyle without anyone telling me. The only problem is will power. I don't have the power sometimes to make the healthy choice, but I do try.

What barriers are keeping me from living a healthy and active lifestyle?

There is one main barrier that is holding me back to reach my full potential in an active and healthy lifestyle, and that is my disease. It is an auto immune disease. The medications I take make me feel very lethargic and weak most of the times. But in order to overcome that barrier I try to eat right and and push myself, even though I sometimes just don't have the energy. That is why sometimes you may see me in gym class and wonder why I wan't going at the pace I was just going at.

What are some goals I have set for myself this year and did I complete them?

I have set some goals throughout the year for myself. The first one would be to improve my cardio. I set that when i ran really low on the beep test. In the end, I did manage to improve my cardio skills. So that would be one goal accomplished. Another goal I did set for myself was to eat healthier. Honestly, I have improved on what foods I eat,  but the junk food is still there, so the goal is still in progress. Another goal is to be more active at home. I think I have accomplished that goal because I have been using the tredmil I have more frequently. About 2-3 times a week. So for those are the goals I have set for myself and have mostly completed them.

What has my intensity level been throughout P.E?

My intensity level for each class throughout the course would have to be 8 on a scale to one to ten with ten being my best and one being my worst. I really want to push myself to keep on going when I get tired, but I always begin to slow down.

What do I think of P.E?

PE has been great. There is a lot different activities I enjoy about this course. For example, there is always something different to do each class. Also, fitness is only held two days a week; which I personally think is the perfect amount. So, overall, I think this course is going great and I would not change anything.

Am I a good leader in Active learning?

I would say I am more of a follower than  leader in active learning. I am more of a person who cleans up after and doesn't say much. This is something I should probably work on for next year.

Have I been taking digital evidence?

I have been taking digital evidence in class. I would say I have enough photos and videos to prove my point.

What do I deserve in P.E?

I would say I deserve a B in active learning for my final mark. Taking in consideration with all my obstacles to overcome, I think I have participated and got involved enough to show that I am a good student, who has potential.

beap test

I know i am a few days late writing this blog, but here it is. I wanted to talk about how I did on my beep test, and to be honest I am very surprised with my results.

the last beep test I did, I ran a 5.5. That was kind of a sucky score so I promises myself I would run a higher mark next time. I think my goal was 6.2. So my results from this beep test was, I was hoping I would reach my goal of 6.2, but surprisingly, I some how managed to run a 7.4. I was so shocked when I ran this because  I was absolutely not expecting this score at all. But now I am so happy that I have gone beyond my expectations and have significantly improved in my running skills.

Here is my evidence:

Pe -how I am doing

P.E  so far has been great for me so far. I think I am doing quite well when it comes to participating and being on time.( minus posting digital evidence) moreover, the activities that we have been in p.e have been fun and tiring (especially in fitness, those classes are just killer) . I have been trying to push myself to the highest intensity level I can during fitness( which I personally think is not high enough).

Some things I have been doing outside of school to stay healthy are eat healthy, exercise as much as I can during my free time, and cut my gaming and TV time. Before I use to not eat that healthy and have take out or snacks most of the time, but I have really changed that in the past few months. Also before I use to not exercise at all outside of school besides gym class , but I have changed that by using the treadmill  that has been just sitting in my garage at least 2 to 3 times a week. I have been planning to join a sports team to keep a healthy life style but I might join during of after summer

I think I have been making progress in My personal health compared to my last few months. I have
been feeling more energetic and more alive ever since I have been doing some exercise at home and eating healthy. Also ( I don't know if this is important or not) but I lost a couple of pounds and to me that feels like progress. So over all I feel happy with my progress because I am proud of what I have done because with the medicines I take and how they make me feel, I am actually surprised and happy that I can do as much as I thought I could do

Some goals I have planned on doing in the future is getting my family to do some physical activities to together as a family. Also is do do a bit better on the beep test like get a seven or higher. Some goals I have accomplished is wearing my PE strip to gym class every day. Also to participate in everything I do in pe.

Some things I need to work on is probably pushing myself  a little but farther and trying to keep a positive attitude during fitness. Also help out a little bit more.

Pe has done a lot for me. It has taught me to be more of a leader then follower . It has also taught me how to keep fit and exercise in certain ways that will benefit me.

I have not posted any of my digital evidence on a day to day basis because I find that I don't have time to do it or I am just lazy. But to show u I have done some digital evidence here is all my digital evidence:

DISCOVERY TIME- HELP SOMEONE ASSIGNMENT

We were told for Discovery time class to do something nice for someone, because little things make a big difference. So, The nice thing I did was help some kid in my science class. It seemed like he was struggling on what we were learning, so I decided to explain it to him. So that was my good deed.

P.E MID-TERM

 WHAT I THINK
So far, PE has been great. There is a lot different activities I enjoy about this course. For example, there is always something different to do each class. Also, fitness is only held two days a week; which I personally think is the perfect amount. So, overall, I think this course is going great and I would not change anything.

MY ARE OF STRENGTHS
My area of strength in physical education would have to be cardio. I am not the best at it in the class, but that is the area I find I am best at.

SOMETHING I WANT TO IMPROVE ON
Something I want to improve on is my strength. The reason being is because my friends old father beat me in arm wrestling, and hat made me emberresed.

GOALS FOR PE
There are a few goals I have set for myself for PE  One of my goals are to improve in my cardio. The next one is to be a bit more social. The third and final goal I set for myself is that I want to push myself when I get tired during fitness days to go a bit longer.

MY INTENSITY LEVEL FOR EACH CLASS
My intensity level for each class would have to be 8 on a scale to one to ten with ten being my best and one being my worst. I really want to push myself to keep on going when I get tired, but I always begin to slow down. That would be another thing I would want to improve on.

ME AND THE CURRICULUM:
MOVEMENT
The first time I did my beep test, I got 5.2. For the second time, I got 5.5. So, I am improving on my stamina slowly. Also, for the 25 minute run I could say the same thing. The first time I did it, I ran 24 min and 32 seconds. The second time I ran it, I got 21 min and 24 seconds.

ACTIVE LIVING:
In general, Try to stay as healthy as I can. For example  I try to make healthy food choices at home. Also I try to go on my tredmil that I have in my house at least twice a week. Also, I cut my t.v time and game time and do chores  instead sometimes to stay active.

PERS. AND SOC. RESPONSIBILITY:
In class, I participate as much as I can, I come prepared, I respect the activity and it's safety, and I try to express teamwork. The only thing I would work on is my leadership skills.

MY GRADE
In pe, I put as much effort into it as my body lets me. I always participate, I'm always prepared and punctual, I co-operate and respect the activity, I set goals for myself, and I stay organized and set out a good example for work habits. I personally think I deserve and A in this course, but because i was not able to get digital evidence, I guess I have to give myself a B

Discovery time- school pros and cons

For last discovery time class we had to get into groups and make a list of what you think is good about our school and what needs changing. Here are some of my thoughts on what I like and what I think should change:

PROS:

linear P.E, Sport teams, art work, projects, open gym at lunch, and electives.

CONS:

tests, teaching system, blog system for P.E, unhealthy food in cafeteria, and homework.

P.E Interm report March 6

So far in active learning I have been trying to do my best and participate as much as I can. The things I probably need to improve on is pushing myself to do more on fitness days. When I get tired I begin to slow down and lose track. So thats one thing I would want to improve on. But overall, on every other aspect in active learning, I am doing my best. (At least to my perspective.)
