WHAT I THINK
So far, PE has been very fun. There is a lot of different things I enjoy about this course. For example, there is always something different to do each class. Also, fitness is only held two days a week; which I personally think is the perfect amount. So, overall, I think this course is going great and I would not change anything.
MY AREA OF STRENGTH
My area of strength in this course would probably be running. Even though I am not the fastest runner in PE class, I feel that this is what I am best at doing.
SOMETHING I WANT TO IMPROVE
Something I want to improve on is my cardio skills. I want to have more stamina and be able to run for a longer period of time. I plan on improving that by going on my tredmil more frequently than I normally do. Also by trying to push myself to run longer when we have the 25 min run or pond run in class.
GOALS FOR PE
There are a few goals I set for myself for this course and I think I have achieved most of them. One is to have my PE strip for every class, and so far I have. Another one is to be punctual and not miss a single class. I am pretty sure I have only missed one class, but that's it. My last one is to be positive and up beat all the time. That is still a work in progress.
MY INTENSITY LEVEL FOR EACH CLASS
I would have to say, my intensity level for each class is somewhere between when I feel like it and huffing and puffing. But sometimes it is also huffing and puffing only.
ME AND THE CURRICULUM:
MOVEMENT:
The first time I did my beep test, I got 5.2. For the second time, I got 5.5. So, I am improving on my stamina slowly. Also, for the 25 minute run I could say the same thing. The first time I did it, I ran 24 min and 32 seconds. The second time I ran it, I got 21 min and 24 seconds.
ACTIVE LIVING:
In general, I try to stay as healthy as I can. I do carefully watch what I eat most of the time. Also I try to use the tredmil I have at home at least 1-2 times per week. I don't do any extra curricular activities, but in order to substitute that I cut my t.v and game time and keep myself busy around the house.
PERS. AND SOC. RESPONSIBILITY:
In class, I try to participate as much as I can. I come prepared, I play fairly, I respect the activity and it's safety, and I try to express teamwork. The only thing I would work on is my leadership skills.
MY GRADE
I think I deserve an A for this course. The reason being is because I try to do as much as my body can let me, I participate almost all the time, I'm always prepared and punctual, I co-operate and respect the activity, I set goals for myself, and I stay organized and set out a good example for work habits.
Great Post Shawn. Bad font on actual page... but great content. I am very happy you are seeing improvement and growth from your efforts. i am also pleased to hear you are making a point of being healthy and active at home. I think you are developing anew sense of what intensity is and I have been very proud of you a number of times on fitness days. Keep it up and keep pushing your body to new places so it will grow and adapt into a bigger, stronger, healthier you.
